MP public disillusioned with BJP: Jyotiraditya

Bhopal, June 16 (UNI) Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia today said that the recent Shivpuri assembly bypoll outcome made it clear that Madhya Pradesh's public was disillusioned with the ruling BJP.

''The Congress wrested that seat from the saffron party,'' he said.

Pointing out that Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi had issued a clarion call to youth to come forward, Mr Scindia added that the Congress would not lose sight of its objective despite the Uttar Pradesh hustings results not not coming upto expectations.

''While other states are part of a development race, the Madhya Pradesh regime is obstructing development. The law and order situation is deteriorating and there has been a spurt in subjugation of dalits and minorities,'' he alleged.

Lauding the state government's 'Ladli Laxmi Scheme,' Mr Scindia, however, warned that lack of attention to implementation would make its fate similar to the Pancha-Ja, Gokul Gram and other schemes.

''The regime is taking the applause for the Centre's assistance and funds,'' he alleged while dodging queries regarding Congress General-Secretary and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh whom Mr Scindia described as a senior leader who would always be respected.
