Militant hideouts unearthed in Jammu

Jammu, Jun 16 (UNI) Security forces unearthed militant hideouts and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition in Reasi and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman today said.

Based on police input, a joint team recovered cache from thick undergrowth at Achan in Gool area of Reasi, which comprised one UMG, 544 AK rounds, 24 7.62 mm and six .303 ammunition, a radio set and an UBGL grenade, the spokesman said.

Earlier, a column of 4 Rashtriya Rifles (Bihar) recovered one Pistol 7.62 mm, two Chinese grenades, huge quantity of assorted ammunitions, one radio set and other warlike stores from a militant hideout at Neota Nala in Bhaderwah area of Doda yesterday.
