Lover couple commits suicide

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, June 16 (UNI) A lover couple allegedly committed suicide this evening by consuming poison after their plans to get married were opposed by the girl's family.

Police here said Chitra (23) and her neighbour Murgaraj (20) were in love with each other for the last one year.

Chitra was a widow. The proposal was opposed by her family members on the ground she was older to the boy.

The couple then consumed poison. Both were rushed to the government hospital here where the end came.
