Lalu lauds UPA for nominating Pratibha

Ratlam, MP, June 16 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today praised the UPA for nominating a lady candidate for the post of President.

''Ms Pratibha Patil is the better candidate and no one should create a hurdle in her election,'' the RJD supremo told mediapersons here.

Responding to a question, Mr Prasad felt that Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat should not contest the presidential poll.

Fielding queries on Bihar, he alleged, ''the law and order situation there has reached at its nadir.'' UNI
