ISI agent nabbed from city

Hyderabad, June 16 (UNI) A terrorist, having alleged links with Inter Service Intelligence (ISI), has been arrested by Special Investigation Cell (SIC) near Secunderabad Railway station here.

A release from City Police Commissioner's office today said on a tip off the SIC yesterday nabbed 27-year-old Mohd Abdul Sattar alias Sattar alias Mohammed alias Shaik alias Annu alias Anwar alias Anna Bhai, who was moving in a suspicious manner.

The SIC also seized provocative Urdu literature and Video Compact Discs, containing details of the activities of Mujahideen (Holy warriors) from him.

On interrogation, he had confessed that he illegally crossed Bangladesh border twice and was involved in ISI activities.

He said he had undergone 75-day training in Pakistan in 2004 under Shahed alias Bilal and Fayyaq alias Amer in handling weapons and preparing explosives.

He told the interrogators that one Shahed alias Bilal had handed over the Jehadi literature and the VCDs along with instructions to recruit youth for training in Pakistan and motivate them for Jehadi activities.

He had returned to Hyderabad to carry out further activities.

Already a case of attempt to murder had been registered against him in 2005 by the city police, the release added.
