ID Dhiman elected HP BJP's legislative leader

Shimla, Jun 16 (UNI) Senior most BJP member in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly ID Dhiman was today unanimously elected the leader of the legislature party following election of former chief minister P K Dhumal to the Lok Sabha.

The BJP legislature party met here in the presence of central leaders and elected Mr Dhiman as their legislative leader.

Mr Dhiman is a fourth time MLA from the Mewa constituency in Hamirpur district and was the deputy leader of the BJP in the House.

He will lead his party in the House during the ensuing monsoon session to be held in August.

Mr Dhiman was the education minister in the Dhumal led BJP government from 1998 to 2003.
