Fake currency of Rs 500 seized and two arrested

Dharwad, June 16 (UNI) Police busted a fake note racket and seized fake notes of Rs 500 denomination totaling to Rs 10 lakhs and arrested two people in this connection.

Acting on a tip, the police raided a house in Nehru Nagar and seized Computer and other equipment used for printing fake notes.

Modus operandi of the gang was to prepare the fake note and insert them in the original note bundles.

The arrested were identified as Irfan Syed and Javind Hussain Maniar. Police are looking out for other two who are absconding.
