M'shtra: Cental Rly to operate mega block on June 17

Mumbai, June 16: The Central Railway (CR) today announced that it will operate a mega block on the Harbour and Central lines on Sunday to fecilitate the maintenance work on the tracks.

According to a CR release, the block will run on Dn Harbour line between Masjid and Chunnabhatti stations from 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs and on Up and Dn Harbour line between Wadala and Mahim stations from 1110 hrs to 1551 hrs.

Due to the block, all the Dn Harbour line services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and Panvel/Belapur, leaving CST from 1051 hrs to 1551 pm will run via Main line between CST and Kurla during the block period and further diverted to Dn Harbour line proper.

Similarly, the suburban service from Panvel/Belapur to CST will run on Up Harbour line proper.

Bandra and Andheri line bound passengers on the Harbour line can travel via Main line and the Western Railway on their valid cards and season tickets from 1000 hrs to 1800 hrs on Sunday.

On the other hand, on Dn slow line between Thane and Kalyan and on Up slow line between Mumbra and Thane from 1030 hrs to 1600 hrs.

There will be traffic curbs on the tracks during the block period, the release added.
