Cornelio is Archbishop of Bhopal

Bhopal, June 16 (UNI) Bishop Leo Cornelio, presently Bishop of Khandwa district, has been appointed Archbishop of Bhopal succeeding Dr Pascal Topno who resigned on crossing the age limit of 75 years.

Archbishop-designate Cornelio has to his credit the setting up of several schools for poor SC and ST, a release said here today.

''My priority is the community's development in terms of education, employment, promotion of human values etc. Religion must not be the criterion to decide whom to help. The poor need to be helped irrespective of their religion and caste,'' the Archbishop-designate said.
