BMC postpones interview for English teachers
Mumbai, June 16: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has postponed the interviews for English teachers by one week, after low turn out in applications.
From this year onwards, the Corporation had decided to impart English education in 84 civic schools, beginning from lower KG and higher KG.
Additional Municipal Commissioner for Health and Education Kishore Gajbeye today said ''The Corporation received few applications for the post of teachers in the English medium school and therefore, they have decided to postpone the opening and the appointment of the school teachers by one week and will start from June 20.'' The BMC has proposed a budget of more than Rs 1,000 crore this year for education in BMC schools, he added.
