ABVP protests UPA's education policy
Hyderabad, June 16 (UNI) Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a student organisation affiliated to the BJP, today staged a demonstration before the high security Jubilee Hall to protest the Congress-led UPA Government's education policy.
Hoodwinking the large posse of policemen guarding the hall in the Public Gardens where Union Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh was attending a funtion, ABVP activists waved saffron flags and shouted slogans against printing 'obscene pictures' in school textbooks in the pretext of imparting sex education.
Police restored order by whisking away the activists who also raising slogans against the ruling Congress for allegedly being keen on introducing reservation for Muslims.
