Youth hacked to death

Lucknow, June 15 (UNI) A youth was hacked to death over a dispute in Lakhimpur Kheri district today.

A dispute of harvesting the crops in Nakha village snowballed into a full-fledged clash, in which Sandeep and Rajjan slit Buddha's throat open.

The accused are absconding, police said.

Incensed over the incident, a mob of villagers surrounded a police chowki and staged a demonstration. The agitators could only be pacified after senior officials reached the spot.

Police in strength has been deployed to prevent any untoward incident.

A hunt for the accused was on, police added.
