We want to provide water 24 hours in a day: Pathak
Mumbai, June 15 (UNI) ''Water supply for 24 hours, seven days a week is our ultimate goal,'' said BMC Commissioner J Pathak in a press conference today.
Mr Pathak added that the BMC is working in that direction and the plan will soon materialise.
Speaking to reporters here today, Mr Pathak said because of delayed rains, the BMC had announced a water cut. Since the rains have started the water cut can be postponed, he added.
Mr Pathak said the water level of Tansa has come down due to delayed rains and due to a pipe line burst.
He said many schemes have been planned towards providing water for 24 hours in the future.
