Violent protests by students against CMPT results

Varanasi, Jun 15 (UNI) Students staged violent protests here today against the recently declared results of Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT).

Students gathered at the Kabir Nagar crossing and raised anti-Uttar Pradesh government slogans.

Alleging irregularities in the results of the entrance test for admission to six government medical colleges of the state, the students later destroyed hoardings, damaged a three-wheeler and the glow-sign of a wine shop.

The agitating students also blocked the road, which was cleared when the police intervened.

Students are demading re-evaluation of the answer sheets of the CPMT held last month.

UNI
