ULFA triggers blast at Bongaigaon

Guwahati, June 15 (UNI) Suspected ULFA militants triggered a blast in the heart of Bongaigaon town in lower Asom today.

Bongaigaon SP Deepak Kumar said the programmable time device was concealed in a bag on a bicycle kept at the backyard of the police reserve in the heart of the town.

The PTD exploded at around 12.30 hours.

However, no casualty was reported in the explosion.

Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and investigation was on.
