UGC sanctions Rs 85 lakh to SVU

Tirupati, June 15 (UNI) The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned Rs 85 lakh to Sri Venkateswara University Staff College for construction of a guest house, books and other equipment.

SVU Vice-Chancellor S Jayarama Reddy, in a press release today said under the 11th financial plan, the academic staff college of the university received the funds from the UGC.

Mr Reddy said the university would construct a separate guest house for SVU faculty members at a cost of Rs 75 lakh and the remaining amount would be utilised for procuring books and purchase of necessary equipment.
