Two drowned in Ganga

Munger, June 15 (UNI) Two people drowned in river Ganges when a boat ferrying them capsized midstream while on way to Burhwaghat under Mufassil police station area from Harinmar riverine in the district late last night.

Deputy police superintendent Arbind Thakur said today that altogether 10 people were on board, when the accident occurred.Two died while others swam to the shore.

The victims were pulse polio volunteers, who were on way back after administering the pulse polio drops to the children.
