Two drown in Ganga

Munger, June 15 (UNI) Two people drowned in the river Ganges when a boat ferrying them capsized midstream while on way to Burhwaghat under Mufassil police station area from the Harinmar riverine in the district late last night.

Deputy police superintendent Arbind Thakur today said that ten people were on board, when the accident occurred. Two died while the others swam to the shore.

The victims were pulse polio volunteers, who were renrning after administering the pulse polio drops to the children.
