Terror averted in Tinsukia railway station
Guwahati, June 14 (UNI) A major terror strike was averted today when security forces recovered a powerful bomb at Tinsukia railway station in upper Asom.
Police sources said a powerful IED was found wrapped in a unclaimed bag made of Army fatigue at around 2000 hours.
Passengers of the Down Kamrup Express, which was scheduled to leave the station in a short while, were evacuated and were taken out of the station along with other waiting passengers and railway staff of the station.
Police suspects the hand of ULFA in the incident.
Bomb experts from the Army and police were diffusing the bomb.
