Suicide bomber hits foreign troops in Afghanistan
KABUL, June 15 (Reuters) A suicide bomber attacked foreign troops in central Afghanistan today, killing three child bystanders and wounding two soldiers, a local official said.
''A suicide attacker... rammed his car into the coalition convoy and blew himself up,'' Mohammad Nabi, a senior official from Uruzgan province, told Reuters.
''Two international soldiers were wounded and three children who were playing were killed and two adult civilians were wounded.'' An armed vehicle was also damaged, he added.
Provincial police chief Mohammad Qasim said the suicide bomber struck in the Uruzgan capital of Tirin Kot.
A spokeswoman for NATO-led forces in Afghanistan said there had been an ''incident'' but could not immediately give details. REUTERS REUTERS SLD ND1448
