Slain soldier's body arrives

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 15 (UNI) The mortal remains of Subedar K G Venugopal of 11 Madras Regiment, who died in Jammu and Kashmir on June 11 during 'Operation Rakshak', were received here with full military honours.

The mortal remains were brought here today by Indian flight from New Delhi.

On arrival, wreaths were laid on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, GOC-in-C, Southern Command, GOC ATNK and K area and Station Commander, Thiruvananthapuram as well as station administration.

The body would be cremated at his native Mynagapalli village in Kollam district.
