Kerala: Sai Maa Foundation award announced

Kozhikode, June 15: Noted social activist Sugatha Kumari, actor Balachandra Menon and businessman Hareendran Nair have been chosen for the Sai Maa Foundation (SMF) Award for their outstanding contribution to their chosen fields.

The SMF also selected well known theatre and cine actress Kozhikode Shanta Devi for Special Jury Award, a statement here said yesterday.

While the SMF award carried a cash prize of Rs 33,300, the special jury award carried a purse of Rs 10,001.

The award would be presented at a function here on August two, the release said.
