Russia welcomes Pak's decision to combat nuclear terrorism

Moscow, Jun 15 (UNI) Russia has welcomed Pakistan's decision to join the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism, expressing the hope that it will make a tangible contribution to its implementation. ''Pakistan has formally notified Russia and the United States as the co-chairs of the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism of its approval of the statement of the initiative's principles,'' Russian Foreign Ministry's sources told Itar-Tass news agency.

''We are also hoping that other countries that share the initiative's goals and firm commitment to the struggle against nuclear terrorism will join in, too,'' they said.
