Realtor arrested for cheating doctor

Chennai, Jun 15 (UNI) The Central Crime Branch police today arrested a 59-year-old realtor of Saidapet in the city in connection with a job racket.

According to police, the arrested A T M Paramasivam, hailing from Tiruchirapalli district and settled in the city met the doctor Krishnakumar of Theni district last month and collected Rs five lakh from him assuring to provide a job in Saudi Arabia.

Despite repeated attempts, the doctor failed to secure job as promised by the real estate businessman. The realtor also did not return the money.

Based on his complaint, police arrested Paramasivam. He was later remanded in judicial custody.

The police have also launched a hunt to nab his 24-year-old son P Palaniappan, who was absconding.
