Petition against 18 Rajasthan MLAs including 4 ministers

Jaipur, Jun 15 (UNI) A petition has been filed before Rajasthan Governor Pratibha Patil seeking disqualification of 18 members of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, including four ministers, for their alleged breach of oath of the ofice as MLAs.

A local industrialist and former member of Jaipur District Consumer Forum Kansi Purohit has filed the petition through his counsel Abhinav Sharma, against four ministers, and nine MLAs from ruling BJP, three Congress members, a BSP MLA and one independent for taking a ''casteist stand'' during the Gujjar agitation in the state, in violation of the oath administered to them after their election to the state legislature.
