New CBI team starts Abhaya case investigation

Kottayam, June 15 (UNI) A new CBI team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Agarwal, today started its investigation into the 15-year-old sensational Sister Abhaya murder case.

The team visited St Pious 10th Convent, where the dead body of the nun was found, as part of the investigation.

They inquired about the incident with Mother Superior Sister Dennis and others.

Sister Abhaya, an inmate of the Convent, was found dead in the well of the convent on March 27, 1992.

Local Police had investigated the case first and later the Crime Branch and the CBI. This was the sixth CBI team inquiring into the murder case.
