NBRI Director awarded J C Bose Fellowship

Lucknow, June 15 (UNI) National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) Director and country's eminent biologist Dr Rakesh Tuli has been awarded J C Bose Fellowship.

The prestigious fellowship has been instituted by the Government of India, Department of Science&Technology to boost scientific research in the country.

The fellowship is meant to recognise active, performing scientists and engineers in the country. It is scientist specific, very selective and will have close academic monitoring.

J C Bose Fellow will be provided a fellowship of Rs 20,000 per month, NBRI sources told UNI here this evening.

A contingency of Rs 5 lakh per annum will also be provided towards conference participation and other expenses.

The Fellowship will be for a term of five years initially.

Researchers from all spheres of science are eligible for the fellowship.
