More than 100 workers affected by heat in MP
Morena, MP, June 15 (UNI) More than 100 quarry workers employed in this district's Rithora area have complained of diarrhoea.
''The loo-affected victims were temporarily shifted to the panchayat building,'' Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vijay Agarwal said today.
Chief Medical and Health Officer H S Sharma said that the cause behind the high number of cases was their working and living under a scorching sun. A doctors' team was monitoring their condition.
Packets of ORS and medicine were distributed. About 2,000 migrant labourers are working in the quarries.
