MLA Rama Singh sent to jail

Patna, Jun 15 (UNI) A local court today remanded LJP MLA from Mahnar Ramkishore Singh, alias Rama Singh, in jail custody in connection with an attempt to murder case.

The accused, Ramkishore Singh, was produced before the chief judicial magistrate(in-charge) of Patna Mithilesh Kumar Rai, after being brought from Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH).

The court remanded Mr Singh in judicial custody till June 28.

Singh is named accused in an FIR registered at Kankarbagh police station in Patna on June 9, 2007.

According to the charges, driver of a vehicle was brutally assulted by Singh after a road accident.

Singh was being treated at PMCH under the security cover of Patna police.
