Infosys bags DaimlerChrysler's award

Mumbai, June 15: Information technology (IT) bellwether Infosys Technologies has earned another prestigious distinction of being named as DaimlerChrysler's IPS Supplier of the Year 2006' (International procurement services) in the information technology category.

Infosys was one of three non-production material/services suppliers from North America that was presented awards for outstanding performance last year, an official statement said.

It may be recollected here that the software major had began working closely with the German-based auto major DaimlerChrysler since 2002 to implement strategic initiatives aimed at increasing efficiencies and optimising business processes company-wide.
