HP announces DA installment for employees and pensioners

Shimla, Jun 15 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today announced six per cent dearness allowance (DA) to its employees pensioners and family pensioners from January one, this year.

According to a notification issued here, the employees would get six per cent DA on their basic salary. The DA has been increased to 35 per cent from the existing 29 per cent.

The installment would be released along with the June salary, while the arrears from January to May, would be credited to the General Provident Fund accounts.

The arrears of the installment would be paid in cash to all the employees who have retired or closed their GPF accounts or are governed under Contributory Pension Schemes.

The orders are applicable to regular and work-charged employees of the state government, besides those working in various government departments.

However, the management of the PSUs, universities, autonomous bodies and boards were free to take a decision on this keeping in view the availability of resources with them.
