HILTI to double sales, human resource in 2yrs

Chennai, June 15: Leading manufacturer of construction products Hilti India today announced that it would double it sales and human resources in the next two years.

On the footprints of its global economic upturn, Hilti plans to double its headcount in the country to meet the growing demand of its products, a company release here said.

It was expected to become a Rs 500 crore company by 2011 with more than 1000 people on its rolls. Two-third of its employees work directly for the customers, in sales, engineering and customer service.

"HILTI Corporation is specially focusing on Indian market and providing support to our Indian team. We are also keen on tapping the huge talent pool of India for our global research and development requirements," the release adding Prof Dr Pius Baschera, Chairman, Board of Directors, HILTI Corporation quoted as saying during his recent visit to India to assess the market potential, meet top customers, acertain industry views and explore opportunities.
