Gang involved in cable theft busted

New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) With the arrest of four people from North Delhi, police today claimed to have busted a gang involved in the theft of cable.

Rajender Kumar (28), Om Pal Singh (26), Vijay (22) and Riyaz (24) were arrested yesterday by the sleuths of the Anti Robbery Cell of the Crime Branch from Wazirabad.

Police said they had already stolen cable worth Rs one crore.

Telephone cable worth Rs 50,000 and a car were seized from them.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that they used to sell the stolen cable to a scrap dealer.

Further investigation is in progress.
