FINO joins hands with E-Governance Services in Jharkhand

Mumbai, June 15 (UNI) The UPA government-promoted national e-governance services programme would constitute common services centers (CSCs) in Jharkhand and Bihar and has joined hands with Financial information network and operations limited (FINO) to give access to g2c and b2c services through CSCs.

A MoU signed in this regard would make available g2c services that include utility bill payment, water tax, land record certificates, sales tax, vat, e-filing of tax returns, issuance of income certificates, birth cirtificates for Rural people.

This apart, the CSCs would also come benificial for rural dwellers to avail b2c services like rural banking and agrifinancing in Jharkhand.

The project will cover 132 blocks, 17,131 villages and 3000 CSCs in Jharkhand by the end of next year.

Commenting on the project, mr. Manish khera, chief executive officer, FINO said ''a multi-bank promoted entity is focused on developing robust technology solutions to make available financial services through low cost delivery channels'' FINO provides Smart card based multi application solutions to unbanked sector in rural and semi urban areas of the country.
