Excellent performance by Balmer Lawrie

Kolkata, Jun 15 (UNI) The net profit of Balmer Lawrie&Company rose to Rs 70.22 crore, showing a rise of 50 per cent over Rs 46.80 crore in 2006-07.

A company release said here today the turnover of the company has increased to Rs 1300 crore from Rs 1252 crore, reflecting a rise of 3.8 per cent. The Profit Before Tax(PBT) was Rs 106.16 crore as compared to Rs 80.85 crore last year, an increase of 31.3 per cent.

The company has declared a record divident of 135 per cent.

The manufacturing businesses of the comapny also showed marked improvement in their performance.

The company has drawn up well structured growth plan for each of its businesses and clocked a Rs 2,000 crore turnover and profit before Tax of Rs 200 crore by the year 2010.
