DefMin to Inaugurate Unified Commanders' Conference
New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) The tri-Service top-brass meets here next week to discuss strategies to bring about coordination between the Army, Navy and the Air Force.
The tri-Service top strategists -- meeting here over two days from Monday -- will also review the progress achieved so far in bringing about this transformation and try to work out a conceptual way forward at the Unified Commanders-in-Chief (UCC) Conference, according to an official spokesperson.
The Conference, to be inaugurated by Defence Minister AK Antony, will be attended by the heads of the Joint Services Headquarters, Commanders-in-Chief of the Andaman&Nicobar Command and Strategic Forces Command, respectively, and the Commandants of the various Tri-Services Institutions.
Chief of Army Staff General JJ Singh will also address the Conference being held at the headquarters of the Integrated Defence Staff here.
