CPI(ML) demands action against land mafias
Ranchi, June 15 (UNI) CPI(ML) today staged a demonstration in support of their demands, including taking action against land mafias.
The party workers took out a procession from their party office to the Deputy Commissioner's (DC) office and handed over a memorandum to magistrate at the DC's office, demanding action against the ''land grabbers''.
Party's city unit secretary Shashikant said land mafias had become active after Jharkhand was carved out from erstwhile Bihar and they were eyeing tribal lands.
He alleged that tribal lands were being sold by them in connivance with government officials.
Party would launch an agitation if the state government failed to initiate action against them, the CPI(ML) leader said.
