Kottayam, June 15 (UNI) Kerala Congress (M) Chairman C F Thomas, MLA, today demanded that the CPI and CPI(M) should surrender their party offices at Munnar in the wake of the High Court observation.

Talking to mediapersons here, he described the court's comment against the government as ''a rare incident in the history of the state'' and opined that Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan had no moral right to continue in the office.

Mr Thomas said the party offices should either be surrendered by the CPI and CPI (M) or confiscated by the government. The violation of law on part of the political parties could not be justified.

The present development at Munnar, replacement of the team under the leadership of Suresh Kumar with a new team under Revenue Minister had created doubt about the sincerity of the government on the eviction process, he said.
