Conduct open primary elections; Lok Satta to SEC

Hyderabad, June 15 (UNI) Lok Satta, a new political party in the state, today urged the State Election Commission (SEC) to provide copies of the latest electoral rolls to it to hold open primary elections in all divisions of Greater Hyderabad and other parts of the state where elections were due.

According to a press release here, Lok Satta National Coordinator Jayaprakash Narayana urged SEC to permit it to use the premises were local body elections were held.

Asking it to finalise boundaries and reservation in Greater Hyderabad and Tirupati, he said the SEC should give necessary directions to the authorities concerned so that citizens could choose electoral candidates in a truly historic way.
