Mumbai, June 15 (UNI) Call money rates closed at 3.20-3.25 per cent compared to the previous close of 3.00-3.25 per cent.

During the day it touched a high of 3.50 per cent and a low of 3.20 per cent.

During the whole week, call money rates hovered at lower levels as there was excess cash flow in the system. At the beginning of the next week, call rates are expected to touch higher levels as the liquidity in the market tightens, dealers opined.

During the week, the Central Bank accepted Rs 73,700 crore through its daily reverse repo auction, which traders said was evidence that cash was still ample.

The government sold Rs 6000 crore of bonds on Friday. It auctioned Rs 5000 crore of the same bond on Tuesday, and has sold Rs 11000 crore worth of treasury bills this week.

In addition, about Rs 20,000 crore is expected to flow out of the system this week for quarterly tax payments by firms.
