BSM to start Post-Graduate Mgmt course in Kolkata

Kolkata, June 15: The Birla School of Management (BSM) will soon start a two-year Post-Graduate Masters in Management Administration (MMA) in association with New Castle Business School, North Columbia, and Bedfordshire in London, for dual degree programme.

The institute is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The course will introduce several forward-looking concepts and management education in four semesters.

BSM's MMA programme will be different from the usual MBA programmes. It will unleash latent individual initiatives in entrepreneurial development, through classroom lectures as well as field level studies. The programme claimed to be a bench-mark of international standards with the objective of maximising returns through optimum allocation of resources.

The MMA programme will be divided into four semesters over two years and will offer specialisations in entrepreneurial and MSME Management (essentially, family businesses), financial engineering, retail management, agro products marketing and subsequently two more streams of specialisation will be added. The courses have been chosen to develop professionalism with accent on business management and research.

The classes will start from August six.
