BMC to become maximum transparent, says Radha Rao
Mumbai, June 15 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will ensure maximum level of transparency in its departments in the coming days, Radha Rao, newly appointed Joint Municipal Commissioner of the Corporation, said today.
Ms Rao, who was introduced to the media by the BMC Commissioner Jairaj Phatak at his weekly press briefing, said ''We will ensure maximum level of transparency in our department in the coming days.'' ''I have joined three days back and will get used to the work after which I will meet the media regularly,'' she added.
Ms Rao has replaced S S Bhide, and will be in charge of the property tax, octroi and other taxes.
She has served in Aurangabad and was CEO of Pune zilla parishad, vice president of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), before taking charge as the Joint Commissioner of BMC.
