Asom joins nationwide BSNL strike

Guwahati, Jun 15(UNI) Asom today joined the week long relay dharna of the BSNL employees to press for their demands.

The BSNL employees were demanding wage revision, tenure of agreement of employment, improving relativity between pay and benefits, annual increment, wage revision for sick PSUs, merger of DA as well as filling up all vacancies.

The BSNL employees were protesting that last wage revision was ten years ago and the next wage revision had been due to since January 2007.
