Itanagar, Jun 15: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has thanked the Centre for including 3,000 km road length in the state for improvement under the special accelerated road development programme-North East(SARDP-NE).
The APCC lauded AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Shipping and Road Transport Minister T R Baalu for the project.
Mr Baalu had informed state MP Kiren Rijiju in response to the issue of road connectivity raised in the Lok Sabha in April last.

The much needed roads on completion would remove the communication bottleneck and provide relief to the people of this land-locked state, the APCC said in a release.
Meanwhile, APCC president Omem Moyong Deori has accepted the joining of former minister Doi Ado along with his supporters of Along East assembly seat to strengthen the party while expressing full faith in state and central leadership of the party, the release added.
