LONDON, June 14 (Reuters) Detectives were quizzing a 39-year-old woman today on suspicion of murdering two teenage girls, said by media to be her daughters, who were found dead in a Cambridgeshire village.

The bodies were discovered yesterday after a telephone call was made from someone inside their house to a member of the public who then told an off-duty police officer.

''The scene was sealed off and investigations have begun to discover how these two teenage girls died,'' said Detective Superintendent Jeff Hill, of Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

No one else is being sought in connection with the deaths, he added.

Newspapers named the girls as Davina and Jasmine Kumari-Baker, aged 13 and 16, and said their mother Rekha was the suspect.

Hill refused to confirm the reports.

Post mortem examinations are expected to be held today to find out how the girls died.

The detached house, in the small village of Stretham, less than 10 miles from Cambridge, has been sealed off. Forensics officers are searching the house and police have appealed for witnesses.
