Uterus removed from man's hernia's sac

Mandsaur(MP), June 14 (UNI) A uterus with ovary and fallopian tube was removed from the hernia sac of a 55-year-old man when he was operated upon for hernia at the district hospital here yesterday.

Civil surgeon A S Mehta said Karulal was suffering from hernia for last 10 years. ''Uterus with ovary and fallopian tube was removed during the operation'', he said.

Dr Mehta said such growth occurs among one in few thousand men and this defect takes place when the embryo develops in mother's womb.

In medical term it is known as 'embryological defect'.
