Undertrial escapes in MP

Neemuch, MP, June 14 (UNI) An undertrial inmate has escaped from custody while being taken back to prison after a hearing here, police said.

Babu Banjara was being taken back by three constables to Jawad Sub-Jail in a jeep yesterday when the undertrial's accomplices beat up the personnel and sped off with Banjara on a motorbike.

Several cases are registered against Banjara in Neemuch, Mandsaur, Indore and Rajasthan's Chittorgarh under the NDPS Act.
