Two killed as truck fells from overbridge
Jamshedpur, Jun 14 (UNI) A cleaner and a motorcyclist died on the spot when a truck fell from an overbridge after ramming into a two-wheeler at Chandil on National Highway 33, about 25 Km from here, today.
Police said driver of the truck, laden with cigarette containers, could not control the vehicle after colliding with the two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction and fell on the railway track.
Before hitting the the ground, the truck fell on an electrical pole and caught fire. The cleaner was charred to death at once but the driver of the truck somehow escaped. He was taken to MGM government hospital in a serious condition.
The train services at the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railways got disrupted in the morning following the accident but was restored later, the railway sources said.
