Jamshedpur, Jun 14 (UNI) The cleaner of a truck and a motor cyclist died on the spot when the truck fell from a overbridge after ramming the two-wheeler at Chandil on National Highway 33, about 25 KM from here, today.

Police said the driver of the Tata-bound truck, laden with cigarette containers, could not control the vehicle after colliding with the two wheeler, coming from opposite direction and fell on the railway track.

The truck was caught fire as it fell on an electrical pole before grounded. The cleaner was charred to death but the driver of the truck, however, escaped narrowly. He was admitted to MGM government hospital in a serious condition.

The train services on the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railways were disrupted in the morning following the accident but restored later, the railway sources said.

Two persons were also killed near Ghatshila on National Highway 33 yesterday when they were run over by a speeding truck, police said.
