Nagaland: 2 die, seven injured in road mishap

Kohima, Jun 14: Two persons died and seven others were injured when a timber-laden truck overturned and rolled down into a deep gorge near Salumi village in remote Kiphire district on Tuesday.

Acording to an official report received here today, the truck was on its way to Kiphire from Mini International Trade Centre in the district, bordering Myanmar, when the mishap occurred.

All the injured were admitted to the Kiphire Civil Hospital.

Police investigation was on to ascertain the cause of the accident, sources said.
